PCAN Launches Grant for the Development of a Digital Transformation Plan
Good news for SMEs! As companies do ever more business online, the Government of Canada has committed, in 2021, through the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CANP), to help SMEs adopt new digital technologies to remain competitive and meet the needs of their customers (e-commerce, digital management).
The PCAN has just launched a new tool to support Canadian SMEs through its stream 2: Improve your company’s technologies. This stream of the program provides financial support to Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to encourage them to adopt new digital technologies.
The stream, which will be open to applications shortly, is divided into two stages:
- Granting of a grant to consult recognized advisors to prepare digital adoption plans. The grant will cover 90% of the costs of preparing the digital plan, up to a maximum of $15,000.
- To support the implementation of the plan, the SME may also apply for an interest-free loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), up to $100,000. The SME may also be granted a wage subsidy of up to $7,300 for hiring young people.
This is certainly an interesting opportunity for SMEs who would like to undertake a technological upgrade of their business and management.
You will soon be able to register for stream 2 here.
