Logient and Poudre Noire join forces

Having been close-knit collaborators for the past several months, Logient and Poudre Noire, two Montreal-based companies, have now formalized their partnership. This alliance is a strategic investment for Logient, since it enhances the company’s offering by adding a comprehensive, upstream digital strategy component to its IT projects. This addition will allow Logient to design solutions that are truly in line with their clients’ business strategies and to deliver its holistic technological solutions.

Too many IT projects are delivered too fast, without an afterthought on whether or not they are truly aligned with the clients’ business vision. Clients that entrust their project to development centers are often in a hurry and eager to obtain a platform that tackles their business challenges: competitiveness, growth, efficiency, etc. It’s as if we want to quickly erect the walls of the house we want to build without taking the time to see if the house was big enough and properly divided to be livable in.” states Vincent Godcharles, Logient’s Chief Executive Officer.

Experts in both user experience (UX) an user interface, Montreal-based Poudre Noire is a digital agency that was founded in 2012 and employs a dozen of experts. The company’s founders Samuel Fontaine and Arnaud Montpetit, both holders of a Master’s degree in e-commerce, use a strategic approach called “design thinking”, which allows companies to rethink their business models and define winning digital strategies while minimizing the risks involved. This comprehensive approach with the client takes place at the beginning of each mandate and is used to thoroughly evaluate and even question the company’s strategy and vision. Consequently, since the strategy is solidified upstream, the ensuing results are always better aligned with the clients’ requirements and, more importantly, their business reality. This process has enabled Poudre Noire to distinguish itself from its competition while catapulting the company at the forefront of Montreal’s Web service industry.

As for Logient’s team, it is simply delighted to be able to count on these new partners and convinced that this welcome addition to their activities represents a real game changer in Montreal’s technology and software development market.
